            Daniel Mandell was recently a Council on Foreign Relations/Hitachi Ltd. international affairs fellow and a visiting research fellow at the Japan Institute of International Affairs. He is also a US-qualified attorney who has previously served as Legal Counsel to the Office of the President, Republic of Palau.
